Obsidian Skin Care System and founder of the popular Jean Pierre Aesthetics and
Spa.
A community leader and inspirational entrepreneur, Jean Pierre, has been cited
for numerous awards including the African Canadian Achievement Award for
Business, The Toronto Sun's Women on the Move Award, the Harry Jerome Award for
Excellence in Business. As well she is a popular, energetic, international
speaker on topics such as skin care, business counseling, and entrepreneurship
and is active in youth advisory boards.
Some years ago, driven by a lack of skin care products for men and women of
colour, Jean Pierre, a former nurse and Aesthetician, set out to develop a skin
care system specially formulated for their sensitive needs. And one that would
benefit all users.
Jean Pierre had observed European skin care treatments first hand in Swiss,
German, Spanish and French spas. Here she discovered the secret of using the
rich, natural extracts of exotic, plants, roots and herbs to develop the
perfect balance of cleansing, hydration and cosmetic excellence.
Drawing from this experience and combining her medical background and her
experience as an Aesthetician, she worked with a team of medical and cosmetic
professionals to develop the skin care system she would name Obsidian.
