How does it work?
The Perma Yag laser emits a luminous beam at a unique wavelength which is
mainly absorbed by the high level of melanin (pigment) concentrated in the hair
bulb. Laser energy is highly absorbed by the hair pigment down to the deepest
part of its bulb. This allows the temperature to rise beyond 160 degrees
centigrade resulting in the distruction of the hair. This distruction become
permanent when hair is treated during the active phase of hair growth. Laser
energy absorbed by the hair bulb is delivered to the papilla when it is
cauterized. The hair follicles that are successfully treated will no longer
regenerate. |
